An Example Day Charter Itinerary

A typical day charter with us would start at around 10.00am from our base at Haslar Marina Gosport.

You will be met by a host and escorted to the boat where tea & speciality coffee await. At this point your skipper and crew will introduce themselves, chat a little about your day and run over any safety features. They will also brief you on the boats systems so that you can fully enjoy your time aboard. Remember, if there is anything you want, just ask. We are here to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

10.45 Depart Portsmouth harbour for Cowes on the Isle of wight. Leaving the historic docks of Portsmouth you head out toward the Napoleonic Spitbank fort before turning into the Solent. As you cruise the Solent Ryde is off to your left and you will most likely see the only scheduled passenger hovercraft operating in Europe which runs between Ryde and Portsmouth (Southsea).

Approaching Cowes Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s family home is visible just behind Osborne bay. Once at Cowes you can wander round the town before settling down for lunch. There are a number of excellent dining options in Cowes, we are always happy to advise and if need be book for you. Alternatively enjoy a potter up the River Medina taking in the scenery. The Folly pub is accessible at all states of tide if you wanted to have lunch there rather than in Cowes.

After Lunch it’s back on board and we could make a brief dash across the Solent to the Beaulieu River. Invisible from the Solent this is one of the areas gems. On a fine day there is little to beat enjoying an ice cold drink whilst slowly making your way up stream to Bucklers Hard. Nestled as it is in the heart of the New Forest you pass unspoiled wildlife habitats and some truly breathtaking properties.

Bucklers Hard has changed little since the 18th Century when wooden ships such as the Agamemnon used in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 were built. Depending on available time you could either just cruise the Beaulieu River or remain at Bucklers hard for a while going ashore to enjoy it’s history

Then it’s time to make our way back down stream towards the Solent. The day isn't over just yet, we can nip across the entrance to Southampton Water and nose our way into the river Hamble taking up one of the mid river pontoons. Whilst you watch the steady steam of traffic entering one of Britain's premier boating locations your crew serve up afternoon tea. Cream Scones, some cake and a few crispy nibbles all washed down with a cup of tea or coffee

Once everyone is satisfied we head back out into the Solent rounding Gilkicker point and heading back into Portsmouth harbour. Guests are free to leave at their leisure.

Total cost £1,800 inc Vat.
Price is for the boat and all passengers. Not per person.
