Typical Solent Charter Itinerary

We don’t have a set itinerary because different people want different things and we understand that. Ultimately we want you to have an amazing day with us. Whether as family, friends or work colleagues the boat provides a unique environment to spend time together and experience life from a different perspective.  It’s not every day you enjoy a £2 million pound motor yacht in the beautiful surroundings of the solent.  See the following as an example to show how your day might pan out.

10.00am arrive in Haslar marina. Free parking is available on site. Your skipper meets you and walks you to the boat. You are introduced to your hostess who will be looking after you on board. There is time to settle down and familiarise yourself with your new home for the day. Tea, coffee and a pastry is served whilst the safety briefing is given.

Once everyone is ready we slip the ropes and head out into the Solent passing the Naval docks and Napoleonic forts. On the way to Cowes we might drop anchor in Osbourne Bay for a while. The former residence of Queen Victoria Osbourne House is a prominant feature. Cowes harbour on the Isle of Wight is familiar to yachtsmen and women from around the world the narrow streets offer numerous options for lunch taken ashore. Being on an island it’s almost like going abroad.

Back on board after lunch it’s time to head back out into the Solent, this time aiming for the Beaulieu river. From the Solent it would be easy to miss this jewel in England’s crown, thankfully your skipper knows where to go. Owned entirely by Lord Montagu the river has a rich history dating back to 1204. In the 1700’s wooden warships were built at Bucklers Hard and more recently Edward, Lord Montagu created the world renowned motor museum inspired by his late father John 2nd Baron Montagu who was a pivotal figure in British motoring.

Whilst pottering along the river drinks can be served.

Towards the mouth of the Beaulieu River we can drop anchor and serve a leisurely afternoon cream tea.

Then it’s back out into the Solent once more for a final blast back to Portsmouth arriving at our berth around 5.30pm. Whilst on board you have full use of the boat’s facilities including fresh water bathrooms, climate controlled air conditioning / heating, refreshments and so on. The Princess F55 also has gyro stabilisation.

Please don’t see this as a fixed itinerary, it is merely intended to give you an idea of what might be possible. We can chat through your wish list and create a day specifically for you. We provide charters throughout the whole of the Solent / Isle of Wight and have more than 10 years experience with corporate clients, family gatherings, special events and even experience days for potential boat buyers.
